I started the activity on Monday, 25/7/2016, at around 7:00 p.m. Just outside my apartment there is a road which splits into two : in the left and right. A temple is there at the end of the road. I see that there are numerous holes and pits in the road:

Although most people don’t actually see this as a problem, this is a very dangerous situation for motor vehicles and pedestrians. When there are holes like these on the road the vehicles might lose its stability and the driver will have no control. Major accidents can happen.

A lot of people come to the temple. If there is an accident there are chances that other people will get injured or worse. When people don’t see the pit as it is not visible from one side. This is especially harmful to school students as many students cycle to their school in this road.

Vehicles passing in one road cannot actually see the other vehicles and people there. There has been an accident where a bike slipped on the pit and crashed onto a minivan on the other road. There are new shops coming up and this will increase the vehicles and the number of people. More people can get hurt.

Many people have made several appeals to the local area councillor but he didn’t care. At first there was no road. People then collected funds from the neighbourhood and built their own road. Due to constant damage holes and pits have formed.

During rain the holes get covered as well as the road. People won’t know to differentiate the road and the holes. People can get injured.

You need confidence to speak to the councillor. You need optimism and should think positive to invent new solutions to the ideas. You must learn from failure because people might not think of this as a problem, people might not support you and sometimes your plan can fail. You need a ‘make-it’ mindset to actually make solutions for the problem.
