My residence is in an appartment(Casagrande The Riviera),which is near/on the main road. Therefore I will focus on few problems those are solved,in process,etc* inside this community!
PROBLEMS:
PARKING taxi’s & autos at the entrance
Pests
STP(Sewage Treatment Plan)
OSR,(open space reservation)behind the park!

Parking taxi,auto…
After the chennai floods,many other vehicles were parked at the enterance (which
blocked our path..)and despite occupying our space ;taxi owners were hesitant to move.
We solved this problem in 2 steps:

Step 1 : we allowed twowheelers through the front gate & made a path for 4 wheelers
Step 2: we had a conversation with them, made friends with them and arrived at a decision: we alloted them some space outside our apartment ! (it turned out to be a mini auto/taxi “stand”)….
Communicating in friendly manner helps to solve problems.xD
PESTS
Even though pest control services are done, there were many pests like frogs,snakes and lizards (in our park) during & after floods. Soon rats took part in this to catch its prey.
To end this food chain of harmful pests ecologically, we let cats in and prey on them.. 😉
Sewage Treatment Plan
The wastes of 240 flats in this apartment (sewage)is managed greatly.Instead of letting it into other waterbodies,we use it to water the plants .it also makes good manure for many fragrant flowering plants here.
OSR(Open Space Reservation)
We have a free space behind the park .it was mostly covered with weeds.we cleared it last month but it grew again. It will be cleared this sunday again and as soon as it’s cleared, we are going to lay cement to plan a court for games etc*. This saves nutrients and sunlight for plant. But sadly we need to take them off too. To replace these plants, we have planted saplings.
Association office
Meetings are held in the association office / @fountain ledges to solve problems like these and otherthings. For example (buying a new cctv camera, fixing things etc). We are ready to do more !
