Problem Statement:
- How Can We Get People to Manage and Segregate Waste That Is Being Thrown On Roads Instead Of Dustbins?
Location of the problem:
The place is in between a street which leads l an apartment complex and my apartment. It has 2 shops and 1 house in between. As soon as you step outside you can see the garbage thrown on the road. The sides of the roads also have a lot of wild plants growing here.

Ans – It affects his business, but he does not think that it affects it too much

Ans – He think that even if you do want to help, you will definitely need help from the government. He also thinks that you need to be free to help.

Ans – It hasn’t affected her yet, but she thinks that there is a high chance of her family or her getting affected
Q 3 – What do you think we can do to solve the problem?
Ans – She thinks that we can create awareness to help. She thinks that the problems are caused by the road side shops nearby.
She thinks it is also because of the issues in the panchayat office and because there are less dust bins in the area.
She burns the waste to keep the area near her house clean.

He is the head of the Padur panchayat.
Q 1 – How is the garbage taken from the available dust bins?
Ans – It is taken via tractors and tricycles. They have a total supply of 3 tractors and 4 tricycles to pick up about 5 tonnes of garbage every day.

Ans – He thinks that we can help by putting up boards that inform people the timings of the garbage pickups.
He thinks that the majority of the littering is caused by people in rented houses or in hotels.
