I started this activity , in the afternoon – about some time after I came back from school. I went around my community when I came across a very common problem – garbage; like – plastic bottles and bags thrown on the ground.
The possibilities of the problems that can occur caused me to stop and conceive this a major problem that can affect the environment.
My thoughts about what the problem will lead to..are:
First, this problem can lead to the impurities to increase in the soil, which can affect plant life. This can become a very big problem….( effects on a food chain ) as animals which eat the plants would be affected thus reducing the species of animals in the area.
Second , this can also directly affect animals, as they come to graze and eat plants , and can mistakenly consume the waste, which can cause cases of choking and suffocation..thus – fatal. This can affect ‘Life on land’, a global goal.
The mindsets needed to solve this problem :
Empathy – I need to have empathy for the plants and animals, they are mainly affected due to this problem…having this mindset can give me confidence to start an awareness.
Embrace ambiguity and Creative confidence – I need this mindset as I am not that sure about how to start a public awareness, and having confidence and ambiguity can encourage me to start solving this problem.
